Cassi	Cassia -- F, A=15, H=red, E=hazel, HT=5'6". A recently-Searched candidate, Cassia is a high-spirited, boisterous tomboy of a girl who is quickly letting go of the craftbred morals she was raised with.  She can be brash, and may sometimes take unnecessary risks without considering the consequences.  Sister of greenrider C'ris. Lorelli	Lorelli -- F, A=15, H=black, E=blue, HT=5'5". One of the Ninth Pass refugees. She is a Candidate. Since readjusting to weyrlife at Kadanzer, she has returned to her happy, smiling self. She is also usually preoccupied with something or other.  Her father is L'dras, brown Tanth's rider, and her mother, Mirelli, is on the Weyr's support staff. She has a half-brother, Dillon. Lyra	Lyra -- F, 15, H=red, E=blue, HT=5'4". Lyra is a cheerful, friendly and clever girl with a vigorous sense of humor. She enjoys teasing and is a class-clown type. Mato adoptable	Mato -- M, A=16, H=black, E=grey, HT=5'8". Mato comes from a remote cothold that makes its living by raising sheep, and is a bit overwhelmed by the scale of the Weyr.  He also misses his sweetheart from back home.

A dedicated and talented apprentice to the Weyrherder, he feels useful there, and is determined to make his mark. Pagoss adoptable	Pagoss -- M, A=15, H=blond, E=green, HT=5'10". Pagoss is the sort of studious, bookish boy who is almost the stereotype of a harper apprentice, but he is tone deaf and has no sense of rhythm, so instead was training to be a Hold Steward's assistant when he was Searched.
Reyda	Reyda -- F, A=15, H=brown, E=green, HT=5'3". Reyda holds tightly to her conservative, craftbred morals. She looks down on those who don't remember their manners (not using a napkin when eating, girls who wear boy's clothes, for example). Rycas	Rycas -- F, 16, H= brown, E=brown, HT= 5`8". Rycas is a very social girl, but has the self-confidence to be rude when she feels like it. A good listener, but prone to teasing. Sovar	Sovar -- M, A=15, H=Black, E=Hazel, HT=6'1". Sovar is a quiet, introverted young man with a thirst to please authority and an utter inability to fit in with those his own age. He admires the disciplined life of a dragonrider, and privately longs for the companionship a dragon would offer. (Persona of Sass Collard)

Tullarin is a trader lad of the sort that gives traders a bad name, as he is always on the look out for ways to trick unwary holders out of their marks. He has his heart set on inpressing a firelizard and is trying to think of schemes that will get him an egg.
